Cindy Engel
It is possible to study the biological processes of our body or the habits of our mind; train our body at the gym or transform our mind through meditation; but there are huge benefits from addressing both mind and body at the same time. My fascination with the interplay of physiology and behaviour began 40 years ago with academic research but later I was fortunate to be taught more traditional practices of integrated health maintenance.
And the boring bit….
As a Biologist
BSc hons Biological Sciences, PhD Physiological correlates of behaviour in mammals (UEA, Norwich, 1984). As a biologist I published papers in peer-reviewed journals such as Animal Behaviour and Chemical Signals in Vertebrates. My research interests revolve around the interaction between physiology and behaviour in mammals. This extends into health-maintenance behaviour. As a post.doc. research fellow, I studied olfactory-evoked-potentials in humans.
